Today I came to work a little "drunk."
I think I may have "annoyed" my co-workers.
Perhaps this is partially due to my strong desire to use "quotes." If I was speaking out "loud," I would have used "airquotes," and wiggled my fore-and-middle-fingers "thusly":
Bah. I really wanted to find a funny video on youtube that deals with airquotes, but none of them could hack it.
I didn't realize I was drunk at first, bloody mary didn't even fucking hit me until I tried to change my clothes in the bathroom at the office and realized that I couldn't properly button a shirt.
This was a huge revelation, considering none of my shirts have buttons today.
Still, having the morning off is the shit, and what better way to celebrate a morning off than tomatoey-pepperoncini-olivey-Worcestershirey-vodka goodness?
So golf outing be damned, today will be quote accomplish nothing day endquote. And tonight I'm pretty sure I'm going to watch Die Hard.

We call it a Caesar here, and we add a little clam juice to the mix. Don't be so quick to judge/gag.
BTW (and as a mother, I am obligated to ask), drinking in the morning? Are you "OK"?
First of all, clam juice is definitely excellent in bloody mary's. I'm also a big fan of Guiness mixed in.
I didn't have to work until like 1:30, and you know, you go out to lunch with friends and there's booze aplenty...
Guiness? I never would have thought it.
Being lunch drunk is perfectly acceptable. Or, as I used to call it, "Friday".
Guinness!!!! :D :D :D Any time of the day will do for that ; and for dark rum too, yes.
So, do you feel lucky? Do ya, punk?
Ah, crap. That's Dirty Harry, not Die Hard. urk
Now I have a machine gun. Ho-Ho-Ho.
You know, drinking before work would sure make my days go a lot faster and be more enjoyable.
Shoot the glass!
Next time I get drunk, I'm just going to talk like Hans Gruber the rest of the night.
god damn i would love a bloody mary right now. maybe that's what would make me like my job.
A bloody mary can basically make you love anything.
